LittleMissBacon’s Panko Prawn Sliders
Makes four Sliders
Preparation Time 30mins
Cooking Time 30mins
Ingredients for the Prawn Paste Patty:
- 250grams of XL Green King Prawns
- 1 Egg White
- 1 clove of Garlic Crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 cup of Panko Crumbs
- Vegetable Oil for frying
- *Bread Crumbs
Condiments
- Cheese
- Bacon
- Quail Egg
- Pineapple
- Lettuce
- Tomato
Dynamite Sauce
- 2 tablespoons of Kewpie Japanese Mayonaise, or any other brand.
- Sriracha Chilli Sauce
Method
- Place the prawns, egg white, garlic, sugar, and sesame oil in a food processor and blend on low for 30 seconds until you have a fluffy paste. *If the mixture is too runny to work with, add 1/2 a tablespoon of breadcrumbs.
- Wet your hands with water so the mixture does not stick. Divide the mixture into four parts and roll them into balls with your palm.
- Place the panko crumbs in a shallow bowl. Flatten one ball slightly so it’s about a cm in thickness and lay the patty gently on top of the panko crumbs.
- Carefully flip the patty using a spatula so it’s generously coated on both sides.
- Deep fry the patty for about a minute on each side or until golden brown at 180 degrees. Take the patty out and put in on a plate with paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Meanwhile, pan fry your bacon till crispy on both sides. In a separate pan, fry the quail egg sunny side up.
- For the dynamite sauce put the mayonnaise in a bowl, add in 1/8 teaspoon chilli sauce. Taste it and if it’s not spicy enough for you then gradually add in some more.
- Lightly toast the buns and start assembling. Drizzle some dynamite sauce on the bottom burger bun. Then add the patty, pineapple, tomato, lettuce and the top burger bun. Repeat this step 3 more times by replacing the pineapple with bacon, egg and cheese.
